Heisman Trophy

1) Eric Crouch    QB Nebraska

Eric has all the tools it takes for a great option Quarterback. If Nebraska can keep him safe and get that offense going look for this man to have a chair waiting for him come December at the Downtown Athletic Club.

2) Chris Sims  QB   Texas

Major is taking a back seat this year and the youngster is taking over. If Mack Brown can keep this team together you can see great things offensively from Texas. Look for this team to air the ball out a lot and give Sims a chance to be in New York come December.

3) Damien Anderson       RB   Northwestern

What more needs to be said about this man. If Northwestern has any type of O-Line look for him to put up 2000 yards this year. This is one of my favorites this year look for him to be in New York.  I hope you get a chance to see him play this year. He is a great back to watch.

4) Rex Grossman   QB   Florida

If Spurrier will get off of his high horse and let Rex play full time you will see this man win the Heisman. Maybe not this year but if Florida does what I think they are going to do this year and with Jabar Gaffney back at receiver his kid has a chance. All he needs is Spurrier to quit trying to play QB.

5) Ken Simonton     RB   Oregon State

Oregon State showed the country last year that they are here to play. Dennis Erickson has those boys playing some ball up there in the Northwest. Ken Simonton showed the world last year that he is a force to be reckoned with. IF the Beavers can keep him healthy and they can keep their offense on the field he has a great shot at being in New York this December.

6) Ken Dorsey  QB   Miami

He showed everyone in College Football that he was a player last year. Look for more of the same this year. He doesn’t have Santana Moss to throw to anymore but I look for him to make do with the returning receivers. Look for Miami to make another run at the title this year.
