Another week of Football another week of surprises. Let me get this out of the way first. I give kudos to Mark Richt and the Dawgs. They took a Tennessee coaching mistake and turned it into a victory over the Vols in Knoxville. They also played a very good game. Good job guys. I'll make all you Dawg fan's a deal. they play a good game against Florida I will make sure they get ranked in my top 25. UGA's only loss is to South Carolina in a game they should have won. I have them ranked 26 right now. Give me one more thing to convince me that they are a good team and I will put em in there for ya.

Now onto random thoughts. How much does Colorado's win over K State make Fresno State's win over Colorado that much sweeter.... Gotta love it. Dennis Erickson is having some troubles up there in Corvallis. Makes you wonder if the Beavers season last year was a fluke. Hmmm I wonder if Joe Pa is going to get those win's he needs this year? I keep waiting for these teams to lose and they keep squeaking by but in the upcoming weeks we will see what they are made of .... Washington, Purdue, Stanford, and Texas A&M. What is Ralph Freidgen putting in the Wheaties up in Maryland? Wisconsin letting 63 points be scored on them? Man... they haven't done that since 1890..... Wow. BTW Pete Carroll has the worst luck of any coach in the NCAA. Pete could easily be undefeated man to losa that many close games.

Now onto my top 5 round up. Florida rolled over what is supposed to be a great LSU team. Just how good are the Gators? Nebraska showed Iowa State who the real power is in the Big 12.Miami beat Troy State but not in the manner that I thought was convincing. They kind of phoned in the game. I know Troy State kept it tight against Nebraska but this is supposed to be a high powered offense that the Hurricanes have. Virginia Tech rolled over a pretty hapless Mountaineer team. Well Texas lost the Red River Shoot out and hence their number 5 position. Oklahoma won a great game on Saturday. Not to take anything away from their win but I will say this. I have never seen so many bad coaching decisions made in my life than the way Mack Brown coached that Texas team. Hello ..... Mack they were blitzing and in the zone almost all game. Have you ever heard of the screen pass, how about the dump pass, or even the option? Jeez you would think this was a clinic on how not to win the big game.

Well it is nice to see all of the people starting to notice Rex Grossman... Of course all of you have been paying attention to him since day one (at least I hope so) either because of what I said here or you saw what I saw. They still aren't giving him the respect that I am. They still think Ken Dorsey or Joey Harrington is a better candidate (you know they hate to look bad especially since he wasn't even considered pre season by them they have to make sure you guys think it is their idea). Rex is the leading passer in the country and put up 456 yards against a good LSU team. Hmmm... makes you wonder why he isn't getting more press. Well look for it to get better in the coming weeks. Remeber we knew it first.
